The Boston Latino International Film Festival is entering its 9th year in bringing the latest films and videos addressing issues of importance and interest to the Latino community to the Greater Boston community. Held in December 2010, the festival screens films from a variety of different countries over several days in different venues across Boston and Cambridge.

BLIFF sought to accomplish the following goals:

  • To screen the best Latin American films in the three following categories: feature films, short films, and documentary films.
  • To show films that portray more accurate depictions of the Latino and Latin American communities.
  • To strengthen intercultural relations between the Latino community and other ethnic and cultural groups.
  • To provide an outlet for Latino producers, directors, and writers to screen and discuss their work in the Greater Boson area.
